We understand that everybody's needs are different. Some individuals may only require a few hours of support each week, while others may need one-to-one support throughout the day. That is why every care plan is tailored around the individual, their routines and what helps them live comfortably and safely.

Support That Goes Beyond the Home
We believe care should support people to experience more of life, not less. One of the key differences with our service is the flexibility we provide outside of the home. We regularly support individuals within the community, helping them remain active, social and engaged with everyday life.
This may include attending activities, visiting family and friends, shopping trips, meals out or taking part in hobbies and interests. We can also provide support during overnight stays, weekends away and holidays where required.
Supported Living With a Personal Approach
We work closely with individuals and families to understand routines, goals and support requirements, helping to ensure care feels natural and person centred rather than restrictive.
Our smaller, more personal approach allows us to provide consistent support from carers who genuinely understand each individual and their needs. This helps create stability, familiarity and reassurance for both individuals and families.
One-to-One Support for More Complex Needs
Some individuals need a higher level of support than others, and our team is trained to provide one-to-one care where that is the right arrangement. This gives a consistent carer who knows the individual well and can support them safely throughout the day.
We support adults under 65 with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and mental health conditions, including individuals with more complex day-to-day requirements.
Domiciliary Care in Chesterfield
Alongside supported living, we also provide domiciliary care: professional support delivered within an individual's own home and around their existing routines. This suits individuals who want to maintain independence while receiving help with certain aspects of daily life.
This can be arranged from a few hours each week through to more regular day-to-day assistance, depending on what each individual needs.
Experienced & Specialist Trained Staff
Our care team is made up of experienced, compassionate and specialist trained staff who are committed to delivering safe and supportive care.
Training includes core areas such as safeguarding, medication administration, moving and positioning, infection control and positive behaviour support. We also complete specialist training in areas including autism awareness, diabetes care, epilepsy support, PEG care and mental health awareness. All carers are enhanced DBS checked and receive ongoing training to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Access to Edmund Street Activity Centre
Individuals supported by HomeCare Chesterfield can also benefit from access to Edmund Street Activity Centre. This provides additional opportunities for social interaction, structured activities and day services within a safe and supportive environment.
It also helps individuals build confidence, routine and meaningful social connections outside of the home. The combination of personalised supported living and access to Edmund Street allows us to offer a more complete and flexible support system.
